Christians United for Israel is calling for millions of Christians worldwide to observe Oct. 15 as Israel You Are Not Alone Sunday.
The organization has a social media graphic for download, and urges social media activism with the hashtag #SupportIsrael. They have also developed Sunday materials for churches to use, and are launching an emergency campaign where Christians can help Israeli first responders.
The CUFI board unanimously decided to immediately send $1 million “to organizations in Israel addressing life-saving needs on the ground, including hospitals, ambulances and first responders,” said Sandra Hagee Parker, chair of the CUFI Action Fund.
CUFI founder Pastor John Hagee added, “love is not what you say, love is what you do.”
Hagee said that before last Saturday, “we thought (Israel’s) worst days were behind them. Before that day, the days of mass Jewish murder were over. We were tragically mistaken.”
He added, “Hamas is not a militant group. We must rightly call them what they are — rapists. They are murderers. They are terrorists.”
